Event
Each year, during the month of March, Silver Lake Regional Middle School's PTO hosts a March Madness Event. This is event is very well attended. The main event is a teachers vs. students basketball game.

THREE WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT:

Plan Activities
- Teacher vs. Student Basket Ball Game (Mr. Moore can help)
- Karaoke (Mr. Bracken can help)
- Just Dance (Mr. Bracken can help)
- Photo Booth (Mr. Murphy can help)
- Video Games (Mr. Murphy can help)
- Basketball Shoot-off with Music Mr. Bracken can help with getting a student to run music)

Order T-shirts for Teachers Playing in Game

Plan Decorations

Create Posters and Publicize Event

Create and Print Tickets for the Event

Get Parents to Sign-up as Chaperones and Help at Events

Get Parents to Sign-up to Sell Tickets During the Three Lunches before the Event

Get Donations from Businesses of Candy, Cookies, Popcorn, Bottles of Water, Decorations, and Photo Backdrop

Order Pizza from Papa Ginos (about 10 large cheese)

Schedule Police Detail

Get SLRMS Staff to Volunteer as Chaperones

Secure an MC for Basketball Game (Dick Steele, Halifax Recreation Department, has done this in the past)
DAY OF THE EVENT:

Set-up for Event at 4:30pm
- Refreshments & Karaoke - Cafeteria
- Just Dance - Library
- Photo Booth - Foyer
- Video Games - Auditorium
- Basketball Game, Shoot-off, & Music - Gym

Decorate Foyer and Cafeteria

Set-up Refreshments (Pizza and water are included in ticket price. All other refreshments are for sale.)

Doors Open at 7pm (only students from SLRM with tickets and approved adults may enter)

No one may leave until Principal gives consent

Event Ends at 9pm

Clean-up from Event at 9pm
